We made our wedding child-free. Now my sister says she won’t come.

My partner and I are planning a small evening wedding. We decided it would be adults only and let everyone know several months in advance.

My sister has two young children. She says she can’t comfortably leave them with a sitter and wants us to make an exception. We offered to help pay for childcare but kept the same rule for everyone.

I understand if she can’t attend, but she says that means I’m choosing a party over family. Are we being unreasonable?
